Chief Godwin Obla’s Foundation Supports Two Benue Women with One Million Naira Donation

Chief Godwin Odumu Obla, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has extended his philanthropic outreach by donating a total of One Million naira to two deserving women in Otukpo, Benue State, through his GODWIN OBLA FOUNDATION. The Director General of the foundation, Elder Michael Uba Obande, personally presented each of the women, Madam Mary Ogbe (known as Papalolo) and Madam Patience Obe, with half a million naira in their homes. He explained that the funds were to help them pursue business ventures of their choice.

Elder Obande highlighted the foundation’s objectives, emphasizing its commitment to improving the living standards of the less privileged, particularly within the Benue South Senatorial District. He added that Chief Obla’s passion for giving back to society is entirely non-political and driven by a desire to serve his people with the resources God has blessed him with.

The emotional reactions of the beneficiaries were heartwarming. Madam Mary Ogbe broke down in tears of joy, surrounded by her children, as she recalled Chief Obla’s support during her husband’s burial the previous year. Likewise, Madam Patience Obe was overwhelmed with happiness, praying for God to bless Chief Obla abundantly.

Mrs. Maria Ogo, who accompanied the foundation’s team to the recipients’ homes, praised Chief Obla’s unmatched spirit of benevolence. She encouraged the women to make good use of the donations and not let their physical challenges (both have amputated legs) hinder their aspirations, especially now that they have a helper in Chief Obla.

Witnesses to the presentations included Mrs. Mary Agada, Patricia Audu, and Fatima Thomas. Madam Mary Ogbe (Papalolo) is from Ogbadibo LGA, while Madam Patience Obe hails from Obi LGA. Both women are members of a female Non-Governmental group established by the late Judith Obla.
