Idomaland Experiences Infotech Revolution as Godwin Obla Foundation Partners with New Vision Institute of Technology.
An Infotech revolution is sweeping through Idomaland, thanks to the partnership between the Godwin Obla Foundation and the New Vision Institute of Technology (NVIT). In an event held on April 15th, 2023, the foundation committed to an annual endowment fund of ten Million Naira for indigent Idoma students at NVIT. This partnership is set to bring unprecedented development to the region.
Engr. Abraham Enoh, NVIT’s Vice President, praised the foundation’s philanthropic endeavors, which have significantly impacted the lives of locals. Godwin Obla, the foundation’s founder, expressed his admiration for NVIT’s CEO, Engr. John Enoh, for establishing the institution in Idomaland. This move will provide a platform for local youths to excel in the global technology stage.
The partnership aims to further the foundation’s objectives of creating opportunities for the less privileged to succeed, regardless of financial constraints. Chief Obla also revealed his plans to collaborate with NVIT in setting up a specialized University of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Engr. John Enoh, who attended the event via Zoom, was thrilled with Chief Obla’s philanthropy, encouraging others to follow his example. The signed agreement ensures that the annual endowment will support tuition fees for indigent Idoma students, with a gender-sensitive selection process.
Hon. Dr. Francis Agbo Ottah, a House of Representatives member, was also present, expressing his willingness to partner with NVIT for Idomaland’s overall development. He advised local youths to seize the opportunities provided by NVIT, as the institute could become the hub for Infotech development in the entire North Central Zone.
This partnership between the Godwin Obla Foundation and NVIT promises a brighter future for Idomaland and its people, fueled by the power of technology and education.
