Godwin Obla Foundation Redeems ₦500,000 Pledge for Emmanuel Obla Hall

The Godwin Obla Foundation has fulfilled its pledge of ₦500,000 to support the maintenance of the newly built Emmanuel Obla Hall at Wesley High School, Otukpo. The pledge was made during the commissioning of the Foundation’s ultramodern students’ hostel at the school earlier this year.

The cheque was presented to Principal Emmanuel Achigili by the Foundation’s Director General, Elder Michael Ubah Obande, in a brief ceremony held in front of the school chapel and witnessed by staff members.

In his remarks, Principal Achigili expressed gratitude to the Foundation for its consistent generosity and reliability, noting that timely fulfillment of commitments is rare in today’s society. He assured that the funds would be used responsibly to maintain the facility and praised the Foundation’s dedication to uplifting education in the community.

Elder Obande reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to following through on its promises, highlighting similar interventions carried out at St. Francis College, Otukpo, and the Otukpo Judiciary. He also confirmed that additional pledges made by the Foundation’s Chairman, Chief Godwin Odumu Obla, SAN, will soon be executed.

The Emmanuel Obla Hall was commissioned alongside a fully furnished hostel built by the Foundation in honor of Chief Obla’s late elder brother. In line with its emphasis on sustainability, the Foundation established a maintenance fund to ensure the facility remains in good condition for years to come.

This initiative reflects the Foundation’s wider mission to strengthen educational infrastructure and support community development in Benue State and beyond.
